Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

Welcome to Blue Coat School

We recognise that the transition from primary school to secondary school is a significant one. We want to make this transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible for the newest members of our Blue Coat family. It has been a pleasure to see our new Year 7 cohort settle so quickly and to witness their enthusiasm and excitement.

Our Open Evening for the 2025-26 Year 7 cohort takes place on Thursday 19th September. The event takes place 5.30-7.30pm and includes talks from our headteacher and tours of our fantastic facilities. Student tour guides are around for those new (and old) to the school, and our wonderful staff team will be available to answer any questions that you have. Please note, car parking is limited on site.

If you are unable to attend on the evening, we have some places available on our Open Mornings which take place in October. Further information about these will be shared soon.
